Hoppers Crossing Project

This unique project resulted in Nisi taking out the a award for "Excellence In Lighting" at the 2024 Control4 dealer awards.

This project began with an automation and audio package. We worked closely with the electricians and the builder to deliver this package, which included:

• Multi-Room Audio

• Security/Access Control

• Home Theatre Integration

• HVAC ControlLighting Control

• Blind/Curtain Control

• Rumpus Room Entertainment Hub

• During early discussions with the client, we learned they were keen to replace all the downlights with LED strip lighting. We then created a tailored package using Control4 Vibrant Lighting and delivered a lighting solution with the following features:

• Geometric lighting design for each area of the house using Control4 RGBTW strip lights

• Lighting for outdoor areas, including a pond in the courtyard

• Discreet housing design for all DMX decoders and power supplies, hidden in various locations around the home

• Custom-designed housing for LED strips under two staircases

• Client training on how to use the colour wheel and save favourite colour combinations to create personalised lighting scenes

• Control4 programming to integrate each lighting scene into other automation scenes

The best part of this project was seeing how the clients embraced the product. When we visited the site after they moved in, we could see all the different colour moods they had created and saved on the UI. It was incredibly rewarding to hear how much they were using and enjoying the system.

This shows how engaged the clients were during the Control4 training, ensuring they got the most value from their investment. Seeing them take everything on board—and even get creative with their lighting—was the biggest reward for us!
